Copyright Policy

1. Copyright Ownership

Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication in the International Journal of Information Systems in Engineering and Management (IJISEM), authors retain the copyright of their work. However, they grant IJISEM the non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, and distribute the article in all formats, media, and languages, including electronic and print, for the purposes of promoting scholarly communication.

2. License to Publish

All articles published in IJISEM are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) unless stated otherwise. This license permits users to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially

As long as appropriate credit is given to the original authors and the source, and a link to the license is provided.

3. Author Responsibilities

By submitting a manuscript to IJISEM, authors confirm that:

  • The manuscript is their original work and does not infringe on any third-party copyrights.
  • They have obtained permission for any copyrighted material used (e.g., figures, tables, or data) not owned by the authors.
  • The article has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere.

4. Third-Party Content

If an article includes content (e.g., images, figures, tables) not created by the authors, the authors are responsible for securing permission to use such content and must clearly indicate the source. IJISEM is not responsible for copyright violations committed by authors.

5. Archiving and Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit versions of their articles (pre-print, post-print, or publisher's version) in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other scholarly archives, with proper citation and a link to the published version in IJISEM.

6. Plagiarism and Copyright Infringement

IJISEM has a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism and copyright infringement. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content or unauthorized copyrighted material will be rejected or retracted.
